what's drumstick dash la?
Drumstick Dash LA is an annual 5k / 10k running event held on Thanksgiving morning in order to raise funds for the homeless and hungry throughout Greater Los Angeles. The event is facilitated by Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission located in Mission Hills, CA. Our motto remains, “Move your feet so others can eat,” and we rely on the generous support of the community in order to make that happen.
How do I get involved?
You can Register yourself, your friends, and your family for the Thanksgiving Day event (2017 Drumstick Dash LA). You can also contribute by creating your own peer-to-peer fundraising campaign on behalf of Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission. What About the Race?
Race Day begins on the morning of Thanksgiving at the CBS Studios lot in Studio City. There are water stops located at select points throughout the race, in addition to post race food and water. Parking is in the CBS Studio parking structure with a valid i.d. This is a family event with runners opting to run, walk, and even push strollers. REGISTER NOW to have some fun for a worthy cause!

Last year, we welcomed over 2,000 eager participants to the event, raising sufficient funds and awareness for the hungry, right here in Los Angeles. This year, we anticipate an even larger crowd, with runners ranging in all ages and backgrounds.

What’s included in the registration fee?
Included in the registration fee is your race entry, participant tech shirt, finisher medal, post-race refreshments, live entertainment, and access to our Expo.
When and where do I pick-up my event race bib?
Participants can pick-up their bibs at the Road Runner Sports in Studio City (12115 Ventura Blvd, Studio City, CA 91604) on Sunday the 19th from 2-4 PM, or November 22 from 12-5 PM, or on the day of the race before 8 AM on the studio lot.
If I plan to bring my children to walk the course, do they also need to register?
Yes, anyone participating in the Drumstick Dash needs to be registered and have a race bib. Children in strollers do not need to register for the event but they will be unable to collect a medal at the Finish Line.
When and where can I see my race results?
Results will be available for access through the homepage of our website on Monday morning, November 28.
Where do I park on race day?
You may park in the CBS Studio Parking Structure, but you will need to bring a valid ID to do so.
Additionally, you can park across the street in the Studio City Plaza parking lot (Trader Joe’s, Dupar’s) and walk onto the lot. This is the easier and less time-intensive way to park.
Will there be food/drinks available at the finish line?
The 5K race will have 1 water station available for participants at the half-way point. The 10K race will have 3 water stations available along the course. Water and post-race refreshments will be available for participants at the finish line.
Are skates, bikes, or pets allowed on the course?
